Patients Receiving Appointment Reminder Calls or Texts for Canceled Appointments
If patients are receiving appointment reminder phone calls or text messages despite an appointment being cancelled, the following items may have been the cause:
- The "Allow Patient Reminder" checkbox is checked. Click on Transaction Codes | Procedures
- The appointment was canceled after the appointments list was exported or queried from the EHR for delivery to the patients. This value is based on the "Reminders Advanced Days Notice" field, which is on the Preferences tab of the Practice tab.
