CY-BOCS - Children's Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale

Description

The rating scale is a 14-item semi-structured interview designed to rate the severity and record the types of symptoms in youth diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Special Instructions

The CY-BOCS is intended for use as a provider-administered, semi-structured interview. A version with verbose prompts Is provided under “downloads” below.

Scores Produced

  • CY-BOCS (0-40) (sum of items 1-10)
  • CY-BOCS Obsessions Severity (0-20) (sum of items 1-5)
  • CY-BOCS Compulsions Severity (0-20) (sum of items 1-5)

Items 2b, 6b, 11, and 12 are not included in the scores.
