PPS and IO: What happens to the reminder if the appointment is changed?

This article applies to the Private Practice Suite and Valant IO

For changes to be reflected on a reminder, they will need to be applied the day before the appointment reminder is set to go out.


  • The appointment is scheduled for Wednesday 3 p.m. and the reminder is scheduled to go out one day before the appointment
  • The patient calls on Wednesday at 8 a.m. to reschedule the appointment


  • It is too late for the reminder to be rescheduled, since the message is queued at 11:59 p.m. of the previous day
  • The patient will receive a reminder for the original scheduled time after 10 a.m.
