PPS: Red Text in Patient Drop-down

A patient's name appearing in red in the Patient: drop-down field is caused by missing information
Issues and solutions:
- Required Demographics fields are not populated. Populate required fields (in yellow) by clicking on Persons and Institutions | Patients. Select the patient and click on the Demographics tab
- The Patient has no Diagnosis associated with their chart. Add a diagnosis by clicking on Open Patient Chart and selecting a patient. Click on Overview | No Billing Diagnosis | Add/New a Diagnosis
- The appointment has no transaction code associated with it. Select a transaction code by clicking on Tools | Appointments. Double-click an appointment.
Note: For reasons of efficiency, a patient can be scheduled in the calendar despite being displayed in red text, but the appointment cannot be closed until the items above are resolved.
