PPS and IO: Recreating a User Account

This article applies to Valant IO and the Private Practice Suite

On occasion, a user account will need to be recreated. This can be caused by an invalid email address, spam filters, or the email link expiring.

To redo an account setup, please do the following:
  1. Log in to the Valant EHR with an "Admin License"
  2. From the Navigation Tree click Persons and Institutions | Providers and select the user
  3. Click on Redo Account Setup (the reset password warning will appear)
  4. Click OK
The user will receive an email from Valant Account Setup (no-reply@valant.com). The email contains a hyperlink, which means some spam filters may send the email to the user's spam folder.

Password requirements
  • The password must be unique from the previous five passwords that have been created
  • Passwords require a minimum of six characters
  • Passwords require a minimum of one upper case character
  • Passwords require a minimum of one lower case character
  • Passwords require a minimum of one number or non-alphabetic character (Ex: ! @ # $ % ^ & * ? )
