IO: Clearing Cache and Cookies in Google Chrome

An important first step in troubleshooting any EHR or browser issues is to clear the cache and cookies of the browser. Sometimes this can cause errors to occur or prevent things from working. Follow these steps in order to clear your cache and cookies while using Google Chrome:

  1. Click the Menu button on the top right of the browser
  2. From the menu click “Settings“
  3. Scroll to the bottom and select Advanced
  4. Under the “Privacy and security” section select “Clear Browsing Data"
  5. Under “Time range” select “All-time”
  6. Make sure that “Cookies and other side data” and “Cached images and files” checkboxes are selected
  7. Click Clear Data
